Andrea Kerstinger, born in 1976 and raised bilingually, lives with her husband and two children in sunny Central Burgenland. She is a high school teacher in Oberpullendorf and volunteer librarian. In addition to writing, she lives out her creativity in painting. She has published in anthologies and literary magazines (DUM, etcetera, Spurwechsel, & radieschen, Haller, neolith), most recently in Junge Literatur Burgenland, Volume 2, 2018 (edition lex liszt 12); Novi glas 2019 (hook); Everything has its time, 2020 (BeDa, Tusch & Theo); Calendar gradišće 2021 (Hštd). Andrea Kerstinger was a finalist of the ORF Burgenland literary competition „Textfunken“ on the subject of „Words like Music“ in 2019. In 2020 she was awarded the audience award at the “Night of Bad Texts” in Villach.
